Letter From The Rector Of Divine World Seminary

Dear Friends of Divine Word College,

It is with a great deal of joy that I write to you for the first time in the annual publication of the Vietnamese students of Divine Word College Seminary.

This is my first year as Rector of the community, but not my first year of association with the dedicated young men from the Vietnamese community in the United States. Young men who are a credit to their culture, their ancestors and their immediate families.

For eleven years I have been a teacher, coach, counselor and spiritual guide for a large number of young Vietnamese men who have come to our institutions to find out what is God’s will for them at this time in their lives.

For me, these have been happy and fulfilling years. I hope the students have had a similar experience from their association with the Divine Word Missionaries.

As we celebrate the “Year of the Buffalo,” let us pray that this will be a year of health and happiness, of peace and prosperity, and of continued growth in love of God and love of neighbor for all, especially those who share in our mission.

May God bless you in abundance for your wonderful support of our students and for your enthusiasm for our cause. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
